Palantir Technologies is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) to join their team. As an FDSE, you'll work directly with customers to understand their greatest problems and design and implement solutions using data. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into and contribute to some of the most important industries and institutions globally.
The role is similar to that of a startup CTO, where you'll work in small teams and own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects. Your responsibilities will span from discussing architecture with fellow engineers, wrangling massive-scale data, coding custom web apps, to speaking with customer executives and establishing strategy for your team.
Palantir values a highly analytical approach and eagerness to solve technical problems with various tools. They seek candidates with experience or curiosity about working with large-scale data to tackle valuable business problems. The ability to collaborate efficiently in teams of technical and non-technical individuals and comfort working in a dynamic environment are crucial.
Requirements include 1+ years of relevant, post-college work experience, a strong engineering background (preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science), and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar. The role may require up to 25% travel to client sites, but this is flexible based on personal preferences.
Palantir offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, paid parental leave, family planning support, commuter benefits, unlimited paid time off, and more. The company is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion and is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
If you aspire to be an entrepreneur or an engineering leader, Palantir believes they offer the best environment and colleagues to learn from. Join Palantir and contribute to solving some of the world's hardest problems while developing your skills and career.
