At Palantir, we're passionate about building software that solves problems. We partner with the most important institutions in the world to transform how they use data and technology. Our software has been used to stop terrorist attacks, discover new medicines, gain an edge in global financial markets, and more.
As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) at Palantir, you'll be at the forefront of solving our customers' hardest problems. You'll design end-to-end solutions, from high-level system design and prototyping to application development and data integration. You'll work with customers around the globe, gaining rare insight into the world's most important industries and institutions.
You'll leverage Palantir products, open source technologies, and anything you and your team can build to drive real impact. Projects often start with nebulous questions like "Why are we losing customers?" or "How can we more effectively identify instances of money laundering?" As an FDSE, you'll lead the way in developing solutions to these complex challenges.
This role offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow, whether you aspire to be an entrepreneur or an engineering leader. You'll learn how to unpack problems, understand the costs and consequences of solutions, and make decisions independently within a supportive community.
The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, preferably in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics. Experience with logistics, materiel, sustainment, aviation, or readiness analysis is a plus. You should be familiar with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar is required.
This position requires an active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one. The role involves collaboration with both technical and non-technical individuals and may require travel.
Join us at Palantir, where you'll work on world-changing projects while being part of a culture that values impact, ownership, collaboration, trust, growth, and continuous learning.
