Palantir Technologies, a world-changing company, is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Security Engineer to join their team in New York City. This role is critical in securing Palantir's global infrastructure that powers their world-changing products.
As a Principal Infrastructure Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing defensive security controls across Palantir's multi-cloud multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes, OpenShift, and various open-source tools to protect Palantir's network and endpoints against all threats.
Your role will involve providing security domain expertise on protective controls, including system, network, encryption, and authentication services throughout Palantir's portfolio of products, services, and infrastructure. You'll also be tasked with designing and building automated systems to enhance the organization's security posture.
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of direct information security experience, with deep exposure to protecting container orchestration platforms. You should possess comprehensive knowledge of modern adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures, and be able to independently manage projects while effectively collaborating with colleagues.
Experience with public cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure automation platforms (e.g., Packer, Terraform, Ansible) is crucial. Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) is required, with experience in Golang being a plus.
Palantir offers a competitive salary range of $135,000 - $200,000 per year, along with potential Restricted Stock units and other incentives.
