Description For Site Reliability Engineer - UK Government

Palantir Technologies is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for their UK Government team in London. This role combines engineering expertise with a drive to improve systems and processes, focusing on building, operating, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and reliable services for production infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers to advocate for sensible, scalable systems design and share responsibility in diagnosing, resolving, and preventing production issues. They should have experience with monitoring systems, managing technologies like Spark, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, and Cassandra, and be familiar with deploying GPUs.

Key requirements include:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Bash, Python, or Go
  • 5+ years of experience with Linux system administration (RHEL or CentOS preferred)
  • Experience with virtualization using AWS, VMWare ESX, KVM, Xen, and Kubernetes
  • Experience with system management tools like Puppet or Ansible
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain a UK Security clearance
