Description For Web Application Developer - Defense

Palantir Technologies is seeking a Web Application Developer for their Defense product vertical. This role focuses on building mission-critical products for the modern warfighter, creating applications that organizations use daily to keep their countries safe. As a frontend engineer, you'll be responsible for crafting sophisticated, data-intensive workflows that are both powerful and user-friendly.

The role involves working throughout the product lifecycle, from idea generation and design to execution and shipping. You'll be tackling complex technical problems, such as handling intricate UX needs, developing APIs and schemas, and exploring areas like type theory, operational transforms, 2D and 3D mapping, UI design systems, and high-scale graphics rendering.

Key responsibilities include building high-scale, collaborative geospatial workflows, designing sophisticated frameworks for complex workflows, and developing next-generation real-time collaborative tooling and data-analysis solutions. You'll work with technologies like TypeScript, React, and Blueprint, as well as a combination of open-source and internal tools.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for building user interfaces, the ability to work in cross-functional teams, and comfort in a constantly evolving environment. Strong frontend coding skills, particularly in JavaScript, are essential, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Palantir offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, and potential for equity compensation. The estimated salary range for this position is $135,000 - $200,000/year, with additional compensation possible through Restricted Stock units and other incentives.

Join Palantir to work on challenging problems, contribute to national security, and be part of a company that values diversity, equity, and inclusion in its mission to solve the world's hardest problems.
