Description For Forward Deployed Data Engineer - UK Government

Palantir, a leading software company specializing in data-driven decisions and operations, is seeking a Forward Deployed Data Engineer (FDDE) to join their UK Government team in London. This role sits at the intersection of technical implementation and customer success, where you'll be instrumental in supporting Foundry deployments for critical operations.

As an FDDE, you'll work directly with customers to understand and solve complex data challenges, design and implement data-driven workflows, and maintain crucial data pipelines. You'll have the unique opportunity to gain insights into challenging problems at some of the world's most important organizations while directly contributing to their solutions.

The role requires a strong technical foundation in data engineering, programming, and distributed computing, combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. You'll be responsible for building new data pipelines, implementing customer workflows, developing health metrics, and creating automated alerts. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge technology and the chance to work on meaningful projects that have real-world impact.

Palantir values a collaborative work environment and promotes a hybrid working model to foster creativity and innovation. The company offers a unique career growth approach that celebrates individual strengths and interests rather than traditional career ladders. They're committed to promoting employee well-being and provide comprehensive benefits that may vary by region.

This role is perfect for someone who combines technical expertise with problem-solving abilities and wants to work on challenging data problems while making a significant impact in the government sector. The position offers the opportunity to work with advanced technology while contributing to important national initiatives.
