Description For Sr. PHY System Engineer - North

Parallel Wireless, a pioneering company in Open RAN technology, is seeking a Senior PHY System Engineer to join their team in Israel. The company is at the forefront of reimagining mobile networks with innovative, energy-efficient Open RAN solutions, serving over 60 customers worldwide and recognized with over 100 industry awards.

The role involves leading PHY activities for next-generation base-station products, requiring expertise in wireless communication systems and PHY layer development. As a senior engineer, you'll be responsible for optimizing PHY layer algorithms, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical leadership to junior engineers.

The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of experience in wireless communication/PHY layer development, strong expertise in RF systems, and proficiency in scripting languages like Python or MATLAB. A B.Sc in Electrical/Computer Engineering is required, along with excellent communication skills in both Hebrew and English.

This position offers the opportunity to work with emerging wireless technologies like Massive MIMO and beamforming, contributing to the company's mission of accelerating GSMA's Mobile Net Zero initiative. You'll be part of a global R&D team focused on developing comprehensive 2G/3G/4G/5G Macro RAN solutions that enhance network security while reducing operating expenses.

Requirements For Sr. PHY System Engineer - North

Python

  • At least 5 years of experience in wireless communication/PHY layer development or integration
  • Good understanding of RX and TX PHY and RF chains
  • Deep understanding of Wireless communication systems
  • Working experience with RF lab test equipment
  • Solid experience with scripting language (MATLAB or Python)
  • Good system-level understanding within a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English
  • B.Sc in Electrical/Computer Engineering
