Parity, a pioneering blockchain infrastructure company founded by Ethereum co-founder Dr. Gavin Wood, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Zombienet team. This role focuses on developing core blockchain infrastructure and open-source technologies that will shape the future of the decentralized internet.

The position involves working on the new version of Zombienet-sdk, written in Rust, which enables complex scenarios and interactions with running networks. You'll be part of a team that collaborates closely with NodeSDK and Parachains Core teams, maintaining both the new Rust version and the existing TypeScript implementation.

As an ideal candidate, you'll bring 3+ years of software engineering experience, with knowledge of or willingness to learn Rust, and strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills. You'll be working in a remote-first environment that values autonomy, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer (Zombienet)

  • Working on the design, implementation, testing and release of the new version of Zombienet-sdk
  • Authoring documentation and learning material related to the new version
  • Migration of the current workload from TypeScript version to SDK
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the TypeScript (v1) version of the tool
  • Help the team to explore and understand new use cases from the developers community
  • Contribute to the performance and observability enhancements

Requirements For Software Engineer (Zombienet)

  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
  • Experience in Rust or interest in learning it
  • Experience and enthusiasm for working with JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Ability to come up with technical solutions and application architecture
