Patreon is seeking a Staff Frontend Platform Engineer to join our Engineering, Product & Design team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge frontend technologies and contribute to the platform that empowers creators worldwide.

As a Staff Frontend Platform Engineer, you'll be responsible for architecting and implementing scalable frontend solutions that enhance the user experience for both creators and patrons. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop robust, performant, and maintainable frontend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex frontend architectures
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence
  • Contribute to the overall frontend strategy and best practices
  • Optimize frontend performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience in frontend development
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular)
  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX)
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques
  • Familiarity with build tools and module bundlers (e.g., Webpack, Rollup)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
