Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Engineer

PayPay Card, established in 2021, is a FinTech company that has rapidly expanded its business scale as a payment platform used by approximately one in two smartphone users in Japan. With over 65 million users as of August 2024, PayPay Card is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Engineer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for engineering Cloud Infrastructure Platforms to provide robust, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions for PayPay Card's growing customer base. Key responsibilities include:

1. Architecting and building scalable, stable infrastructure with AWS regional level failure tolerance
2. Collaborating with Security Engineers to provision secure infrastructure
3. Implementing automations for AWS deployments and resource provisioning
4. Ensuring fast delivery of Cloud Services to developers

The role requires extensive experience with AWS services, including VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, and many others. Proficiency in tools such as Terraform, Github Actions, Prometheus, Grafana, and ArgoCD is essential.

Qualifications include:

• 8+ years of technical experience in Cloud-based Infrastructure Platforms
• Expertise in designing and troubleshooting large-scale streaming systems using Kafka
• Experience with NoSQL/KVS datastores like DynamoDB and Elasticsearch
• Proficiency in IAC tools, Linux internals, and cloud services monitoring
• Strong skills in Python, Shell Scripting, and Go/Rust
