Description For Data Platform Engineer

The company is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to join their Corporate Engineering team, which is crucial in supporting PayPay's extensive operations across merchant, customer, and authority domains.

The role focuses on building and maintaining data analysis infrastructure that enables PayPay employees to effectively utilize various internal data sources. You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies including GCP (BigQuery, Composer), Python, Docker, and Terraform to develop and operate data platforms that support business decision-making and operational efficiency.

As a Data Platform Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing data architecture, implementing data governance guidelines, and ensuring proper security measures. The position offers an opportunity to work on significant projects such as DWH creation, GCP operations improvement, and BI implementation support.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, strong technical skills in cloud environments, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.   • Design data architecture and develop/operate data analysis platform components
  • Define KPIs and various metrics
  • Establish data governance guidelines
  • Implement security measures and improve operational procedures
  • Create and maintain data warehouses
  • Support BI implementation and KPI reporting

Requirements For Data Platform Engineer

Python
  • 3+ years of application development or data platform component development/operation experience
  • Experience in system development using cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
  • Basic knowledge of system development (database, network, security)
  • Business-level Japanese language skills
  • Experience with large-scale data analysis platform design and operations
