As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing and implementing large-scale systems for our high-throughput payment applications. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including Java, Kotlin, Scala, and various AWS services, while contributing to our microservices architecture.

Responsibilities For Senior Backend Engineer
- Design large scale systems with high complexity to support high throughput applications
- Leverage infrastructure for solving large scale problems
- Develop tools and contribute to open source
- Support code in production and perform root cause analysis
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high quality standards
- Provide technical guidance and design directions to team members
- Identify and implement performance improvements
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders
Requirements For Senior Backend Engineer
- Excellent skills in Java or other programming languages (Scala, Python, Go)
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and distributed cache
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms and OOP
- In-depth understanding of concurrency and distributed computing
- Experience implementing RESTful APIs, Pub/Sub Systems, and Database Clients
- Experience with microservices
- Experience designing high traffic systems
- Degree in Computer Engineering/Science or 5+ years equivalent experience
- Business level English or Japanese
