PayPay, a fintech company that has grown to over 65 million users in just 6 years since its 2018 launch, is seeking a Software Engineer (Data Engineer) to join their diverse team from 50 countries. The role is part of PayPay's Corporate Engineering division, which is crucial for the rapid service growth and organizational expansion.
As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Designing data architecture and developing/operating components of the data analysis infrastructure
- Preparing and operating a data analysis platform for effective use of various data circulating within PayPay
- Supporting business decision-making and improving operational efficiency
- Defining KPIs and other indicators, and data handling (coordinating with internal departments)
- Developing guidelines for company-wide data governance promotion, security measures, and improving operational tasks
Key projects include:
- Creating Data Warehouses (company-wide marts, department-specific marts, master management)
- Improving GCP operations (BigQuery monitoring, IAM design, project division)
- BI construction (supporting from data acquisition to BI implementation)
- Stable delivery of KPI reports necessary for management
- Comparative re-examination of Redshift and BigQuery
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience in application development or developing/operating components of data analysis infrastructure
- Experience in system development using cloud environments like AWS or GCP
- Basic knowledge of system development (database, network, security, etc.)
- Business-level or higher Japanese language skills
