Founding Full Stack Engineer - GoodRoots

GoodRoots is a real estate startup that turns renters into homeowners through a new home equity program. As the Founding Full Stack Engineer, you'll be the cornerstone of our technical initiatives, transforming our strategic vision into robust, scalable software. You will lead the technical vision for the product, build the next iterations of our platform, and directly influence the product's direction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Spearheading the development of our software product
• Setting technical standards and ensuring scalable software architecture
• Working closely with the Founder to align technological developments with business goals
• Shaping near-term development priorities
• Participating in regular evaluations of GoodRoots
• Engaging with customers to gather data and derive insights
• Vetting new candidates for the development team

We're looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building software products
• 2+ years' experience in fintech, proptech, blockchain, or similar fields
• High proficiency in programming languages like Java, Ruby, Python, and JavaScript
• Deep understanding of database architecture
• Experience with RESTful APIs, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
