Description For Sales Engineer

The platform helps Product teams understand how their product is being used and leverage that understanding to drive customer engagement.

As a Sales Engineer at Pendo, you'll be the technical bridge between Account Executives and prospects in both US and Latin American Commercial segments. The role involves minimal travel (less than 10%) and requires fluency in Portuguese to support LATAM markets. You'll be responsible for managing technical relationships, conducting product demonstrations, and leading proof of concept evaluations.

The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of PreSales experience, strong technical knowledge of web technologies, and excellent communication skills. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where you'll contribute to various aspects of the sales cycle, from technical demonstrations to creating reusable assets and providing valuable feedback to product teams.

Responsibilities For Sales Engineer

  • Sell the product and articulate Pendo capabilities in context of customer needs and value
  • Manage and lead proof of concept evaluations
  • Address technical questions and represent technical expertise to prospects
  • Provide training for demonstrating existing and new features
  • Contribute reusable assets like demo sites, scripts, and POC assets
  • Perform Pendo installations, build and troubleshoot Pendo Guides
  • Track and raise feature requests
  • Provide feedback to product, engineering and marketing teams

Requirements For Sales Engineer

JavaScript
  • Minimum of two (2) years of PreSales experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or coding academy in a related field
  • Portuguese language skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience with customer pilots and Proof of Concepts
  • Hands-on experience with client-side web technologies (HTML/CSS/Javascript)
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Superior solution scoping abilities
  • Must be willing to work in a fast paced environment
  • Passion and ability to collaborate with sales professionals
