Description For Quality Engineering Analyst

PENN Entertainment, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineering Analyst to join their digital team. As a leading provider of integrated entertainment, sports content, and casino gaming experiences in North America, PENN operates major platforms including ESPN BET, Hollywood Casino, theScore Bet Sportsbook & Casino, and theScore media app.

The role involves working with a diverse team of QA professionals using modern testing tools and technologies. You'll be responsible for ensuring software quality across multiple platforms, including Android, iOS, and Web applications. Key responsibilities include developing and executing test cases, performing various types of testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background with experience in API testing, proxy tools, and event-driven architectures. You'll need excellent communication skills and attention to detail, as you'll be working closely with developers, product managers, and designers to maintain high quality standards.

Responsibilities For Quality Engineering Analyst

  • Learn and collaborate with teams to build understanding of platform and key user actions
  • Develop and execute test cases in TestRail based on PM requirements in Jira
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and smoke tests across various environments
  • Provide cross-platform testing of sports media and betting apps
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure QA best practices
  • Participate in bug triaging and priority assessment
  • Work with Test Automation team to review and prioritize test cases
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies

Requirements For Quality Engineering Analyst

JavaScript
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Aptitude for coding or scripting
  • Strong familiarity with functional and regression testing on Android and iOS platforms
  • Experience with JIRA and defect tracking systems
  • Experience with REST API calls and GraphQL queries using tools like Postman
  • Experience with Web/HTTP Proxy tools like Charles Proxy
  • Experience testing event driven architectures
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and debugging skills
