The role focuses on ensuring application security from the ground up, working closely with development teams to embed security best practices and identify vulnerabilities early in the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities For Application Security Engineer
- Integrate security into development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and coding practices
- Assess applications, identify risks, and optimize security tools (SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA)
- Develop security policies, provide training, and foster a security-first culture
Requirements For Application Security Engineer
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Application Security
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices & security testing methodologies
- Hands-on experience with Application Security tools (SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA)
- Solid knowledge of industry security standards (OWASP, PCI DSS)
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, C#)
- Strong problem-solving & analytical skills
- Excellent communication & collaboration skills
- Certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, CISM, or CSSLP are a plus
