Design System Lead Engineer

Pepperstone, a global fintech company founded in 2010, is seeking a Design System Lead Engineer to join their Engineering Excellence team. This role involves developing and executing the company's Design System, creating high-quality software solutions, and shaping the technical architecture.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining a high-quality federated Design System platform
• Designing a robust developer experience including onboarding and documentation
• Creating CI/CD processes and testing frameworks for the design system
• Developing strategies for component library versioning and cross-channel design element sharing
• Leading technical problem-solving and providing guidance to other engineers
• Fostering team alignment and collaboration on technical decisions
• Implementing best practices for Continuous Delivery
• Mentoring junior team members and participating in code reviews

The ideal candidate should have:

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
• Expertise in browser technologies, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
• Deep understanding of Software Engineering best practices
• Experience with various front-end platforms and architectures
• Understanding of cloud services and back-end integration
• Strong communication skills and leadership experience
