The position requires an experienced professional who will partner with the D&A Data Foundation team to design and implement data models for large-scale applications in public cloud environments. As a Lead Engineer, you'll be responsible for creating extensible data models that can support future use cases with minimal rework. The role involves working in a hybrid environment, managing both on-premise data sources and cloud systems. You'll establish data design patterns that drive flexible, scalable, and efficient data models to maximize value and reuse.
Key responsibilities include developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models across various platforms like SQL Data Warehouse, EMR, Spark, DataBricks, and Azure Synapse. You'll work closely with data product owners, management teams, and engineering teams to ensure proper implementation of data architecture standards.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of technology experience, with at least 2 years focused on data modeling and systems architecture. Strong expertise in data lake infrastructure, warehousing, and analytics tools is essential. Experience with cloud services, particularly Azure, and knowledge of modern data engineering practices are crucial for success in this role.
