Description For Lead Engineer 2 - IT Strat & Transf Analyst

PepsiCo's Product Delivery team, as part of the Digital Products and Applications (DPA) organization, is seeking a Lead Engineer 2 - IT Strategy & Transformation Analyst. This role is crucial in accelerating PepsiCo's digital transformation through FinOps initiatives. The position focuses on optimizing infrastructure costs, managing vendor relationships, and driving efficiency across approximately 300 DPA applications.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing FinOps strategies, analyzing complex data to identify cost-saving opportunities, and influencing stakeholders across the organization. They will need to demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Key responsibilities include reducing cloud and on-premise infrastructure costs, optimizing AMS contract management, rationalizing applications, and designing/testing dashboards and analytics. The role requires a combination of technical expertise in tools like Azure Platform, ServiceNow, and Flexera, along with strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills.

Success in this role demands a collaborative approach, as the position involves working with various teams and influencing decisions without direct authority. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of relevant experience, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and a proven track record of driving results through influence rather than direct control.

  • Help define and communicate the FinOps integrated plan
  • Execute the FinOps integrated plan
  • Reduce cloud and on-premise infrastructure costs
  • Help with AMS contract management pricing model optimization
  • Rationalize apps to save money
  • Proactively analyze complex data, identify opportunities and communicate opportunities
  • Design and test dashboard, reports and analytics
  • Optimize inefficient processes and tools

Requirements For Lead Engineer 2 - IT Strat & Transf Analyst

  • 5+ years of analyst and analytic experience
  • 5+ years advanced Excel experience (pivot tables, advanced formulas)
  • 5+ years using Power Point to create clear and compelling presentations
  • Experience designing and testing dashboards, reports and insights (ideally Power BI)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly analytical with ability to simplify complexity
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinker passionate about efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results collaboratively
  • Strong Azure Platform, ServiceNow, Flexera, Excel and other AIOps toolsets knowledge
