Description For Procurement Manager - Sugar

PepsiCo is seeking a Procurement Manager for their Sugar category to oversee financial reporting and strategic sourcing in North America. This role manages approximately $600MM in annual sugar spend across 130 plants, requiring expertise in commodity hedging, pricing updates, and supply chain management. The position reports to the Director of North America Sugar Procurement and involves matrix management responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will bring 5 years of procurement experience, strong analytical skills, and deep knowledge of food and beverage ingredients markets. Key responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, conducting market analyses, managing supplier relationships, and driving productivity initiatives. The role requires collaboration across multiple departments including R&D, Quality, Sustainability, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities For Procurement Manager - Sugar

  • Design and execute sourcing strategy for PBNA & PFNA Sugar supplied locations
  • Conduct industry analyses and lead supplier negotiations
  • Build cost models and manage category's financial reporting
  • Share market intelligence and price forecasts
  • Develop long-term strategic sourcing recommendations
  • Partner with R&D, Quality, Sustainability, and Commercialization teams
  • Identify areas of opportunity for total cost reduction and supply optimization

Requirements For Procurement Manager - Sugar

  • Minimum undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Management, Food Science, Supply Chain, Agriculture, or related areas
  • 5 years of procurement experience and/or related negotiation & financial management roles
  • Strong quantitative skills and data-driven decision making
  • Direct management and expertise in food and beverage ingredients markets
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate and influence
  • Effective communicator with strong oral/presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as needed (<10%)
