Description For Senior Applications Solution Architect - SRE Orchestration

PepsiCo's Digital Products and Applications (DPA) organization is seeking a Senior Applications Solution Architect to lead their SRE orchestration initiatives. This role is crucial in driving PepsiCo's digital transformation through implementing modern support operations solutions. The position focuses on ensuring application resilience and business process continuity using SRE principles.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing support operations solutions while ensuring SRE principles are followed during product design. They will lead the development of an SRE orchestration platform that enables seamless detect, diagnose, and recover processes to minimize business impact. This role requires deep technical expertise combined with strong leadership abilities to drive transformation across teams.

Working directly under the SRE & Quality Assurance Sr. director, you'll be instrumental in defining and measuring SLA/SLO/SLI metrics and error budgets for product offerings. Responsibilities For Senior Applications Solution Architect - SRE Orchestration

  • Design and implement modern support operations solutions for PepsiCo's digital products applications
  • Lead SRE Engineering activities within application design
  • Build SRE orchestration platform for detect, diagnose and recover processes
  • Develop and deliver SRE orchestration software solutions using terraform, ansible
  • Collaborate with DevOps/DevSecOps teams to build reliability and resiliency
  • Lead definition, collection and analysis of data relevant products systems
  • Participate in on-call support and orchestrating blameless post-mortems
  • Drive AI Ops adoption across teams

Requirements For Senior Applications Solution Architect - SRE Orchestration

  • 15+ years of work experience evolving to a solution architect
  • 3-5 years experience in improving IT operations
  • Strong understanding of SRE and IT Service Management processes
  • Experience in leading high-performing teams
  • Deep hands-on technical expertise
