Description For Senior Automation Engineer

PepsiCo, a global leader in beverages and convenient foods, is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer for their Little Island facility in Cork, Ireland. This role is part of PepsiCo Global Concentrate Solutions (PGCS), which is at the heart of producing concentrates for mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up, and Pepsi.

Responsibilities For Senior Automation Engineer

  • Provide day-to-day automation and manufacturing support to business users throughout the sites
  • Play a key role in review, approval and execution of validation protocols
  • Support capital projects including conceptual design and project management
  • Development and review of URS for process and automation systems
  • Support IT operations and maintenance groups as technical escalation point
  • Create and maintain operational as-built documentation for plant control systems
  • Manage change control process for Automation Systems
  • Evaluate and optimize automation environment with new technologies
  • Develop standard data structures for manufacturing control systems
  • Propose modifications to improve safety and efficiency
  • Liaise with equipment vendors to ensure specification compliance

Requirements For Senior Automation Engineer

Linux
  • Engineering degree with minimum 5 years process control, PLC/SCADA experience
  • Experience in Automation Validation with GAMP and cGMP
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Wonderware InTouch, InBatch, InSQL
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • High energy level and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently in team environment
