PepsiCo is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Data Analytics & AI team in Hyderabad. As part of a growing team, you'll create and support global digital developments focusing on revenue management, supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics, with a specific emphasis on Demand Forecasting in Demand Planning. The role involves working with cutting-edge machine learning technologies and cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
You'll be part of PepsiCo's Data, Analytics and AI (DA&AI) division, which transforms data into consumer delight. The team builds and organizes business-ready data that enables PepsiCo's leaders to make confident decisions. This platform of data products and services ensures data activation at scale, enabling new revenue streams, deeper partner relationships, consumer experiences, and innovation across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in production-level analytics solutions, statistical/ML techniques, and cloud-based development. You'll work collaboratively with process owners, product owners, and business users, providing visibility and understanding of development criticality. The role requires strong technical skills in Python, data wrangling, and machine learning, combined with excellent communication abilities.
As an internal ambassador for the team's data and analytics culture, you'll provide stewardship to colleagues in your areas of expertise. The position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale problems at a global company with over $79 billion in revenue, serving products in more than 200 countries.
Responsibilities For Senior Data Scientist
- Active contributor to code development in projects and services
- Partner with data scientists on discovery, prototypes and pilot with focus on experiment tracking
- Build, deploy and publish machine learning models that run efficiently in cloud pipelines
- Data wrangling implementation, business rules implementation, feature engineering at scale
- Monitor model performance and assess bias and fairness
- Support large-scale experimentation
- Create documentation and reusable packages
- Research state-of-the-art methodologies
Requirements For Senior Data Scientist
- 8+ years working in a team to deliver production level analytic solutions
- 4+ years experience in ETL and data wrangling
- 4+ years experience in Statistical/ML techniques
- 4+ years experience in Python or Pyspark development
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience in cloud-based development (Azure preferred)
- Fluent in git, Docker, and Azure cloud services
