PepsiCo UK is seeking a Shift Technician/Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical focus for their Coventry manufacturing facility. This role is part of PepsiCo's supply chain operations, where you'll be responsible for ensuring smooth equipment operation and maintenance in a fast-paced snack manufacturing environment.

The position offers a competitive salary of £54,080.37 (including shift allowance) and operates on a continental shift pattern (4 on, 4 off) with 12-hour rotational shifts. The facility produces well-known brands including Doritos, SunBites, Squares, French Fries, and Wotsits, serving as one of the UK's largest snack manufacturing sites.

As a Shift Technician, you'll leverage your specialist engineering knowledge to maintain key production equipment, deliver optimal plant reliability through preventative maintenance, and conduct electrical testing. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities and technical expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Provide technical expertise for Electrical and Mechanical maintenance
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs
  • Diagnose faults using Root Cause Analysis techniques
  • Document maintenance activities in SAP EAM system
  • Install new equipment and systems
  • Coach and support Manufacturing Technician group
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with production teams to enhance processes

Requirements For Shift Technician/Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

  • Indentured time served Engineering Apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or HNC/HND
  • Recognised Electrical (18th Edition) or Mechanical Certification
  • Working knowledge of EAM SAP or equivalent CMMS applications
  • Experience in multiskilled engineering role
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical fault-finding techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player with continuous improvement approach
