Senior DevOps Engineer

Perchwell is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working on cloud-based containerized production applications and systems running primarily on Kubernetes (EKS) on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and manage scalable, secure AWS infrastructure
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Set up and manage Kubernetes clusters
• Manage infrastructure with Terraform
• Champion observability (o11y) practices
• Lead incident management and disaster recovery planning
• Mentor teams on DevOps principles and practices
• Optimize infrastructure costs
• Participate in On-Call Rotation

Required Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Deep experience with AWS cloud services
• Familiarity with Docker, K8s, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, Grafana
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes
• Solid background in Linux/Unix administration
• Knowledge of SRE fundamentals
• 5+ years of experience in a dedicated DevOps role

Bonus Skills:

• Experience as a PostgreSQL DBA
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails ecosystem
• Experience with Elasticsearch management
• Knowledge of queue and Pub/Sub systems
• Experience with data pipelines for ETL
• Implementing and working with RESTful APIs

Perchwell offers a competitive salary range of $160K – $190K and provides equity. The position is based in their New York City HQ in Soho Manhattan, with an expectation to work from the office at least 3 days/week. Only candidates authorized to work in the U.S. are being considered at this time.
