Electrical Testing and Protection Engineer

Petrotec Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Testing and Protection Engineer for their facility in Al Wukair, Qatar. This role requires a strong background in testing and commissioning of electrical systems, including High Voltage/Low Voltage Switchgears up to 33KV. The ideal candidate will have expertise in handling components such as CT, VT, protection relays, ACB/VCB, various protection schemes, VFD, UPS systems, and Power Transformers.

The position demands extensive experience in relay configuration and testing across various vendors, along with proficiency in communication protocols like MODBUS/RTU and IEC 61850. The role involves participating in SAT/FAT activities, troubleshooting, document review, and coordination with stakeholders.

As an Electrical Testing and Protection Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of critical electrical systems, providing technical expertise, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
