Responsibilities For Site Reliability Engineer

  • Ensure high availability and reliability of UK platforms with day-to-day support
  • Manage incidents with rapid resolution, root cause analysis, and post-mortems
  • Optimize monitoring and alerting for proactive issue detection
  • Identify process improvements for long-term stability
  • Coordinate resolution and escalation of Platform Services issues
  • Manage the Production environment
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation
  • Help define cloud platform service roadmap
  • Collaborate with UK Support and Delivery Squads
  • Oversee application, OS, and infrastructure patching
  • Manage DR testing and monitoring setup

Requirements For Site Reliability Engineer

Kubernetes
Redis
  • Experience with distributed systems in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
  • Developer mindset for platform challenges
  • Strong knowledge of container orchestration and scaling
  • Experience managing Kubernetes clusters
  • Proficiency in observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic, Splunk)
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
  • Strong understanding of modern SDLC and CI/CD processes
  • Experience in DevSecOps and security best practices
  • Experience in high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR)
