Responsibilities For Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

  • Assist in specification, installation, and commissioning of instrumentation systems
  • Configure and implement control systems, including PLCs and HMI/SCADA platforms
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of instrumentation and controls
  • Maintain calibration and maintenance records
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Collaborate with operations team on equipment performance
  • Support process improvement initiatives
  • Prepare and maintain documentation including wiring diagrams
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
  • Work with R&D, process engineering, and operations teams

Requirements For Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering
  • Basic proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley preferred)
  • Familiarity with HMI/SCADA platforms
  • Knowledge of instrumentation systems
  • Understanding of process automation and control strategies
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Familiarity with high-temperature or chemical process environments preferred
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards
