Site Reliability Engineer

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at PhonePe, you will be responsible for:

• Linux/Unix Administration
• Networking
• Working with a wide variety of open source technologies/tools and cloud services
• Implementing best practices for IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
• Participating in on-call rotation
• Working with MySQL
• Automation/configuration management using saltstack or equivalent
• Hands-on experience in private and public cloud environments

Required skills:

• Strong background in Linux networking (ip, iptables, ipsec)
• Knowledge of working with MySQL
• Understanding of code and scripting (Perl/Golang preferred)
• Good English communication skills

Additional knowledge that would be a plus:

• Implementation of cloud services on Linux using KVM/QEMU
• DCOS (Mesos & Mesos frameworks)
• Aerospike (NoSQL)
• Perl/Golang
• Galera
• OpenBSD
• Data center related activities (rarely needed)
