Responsibilities For Software Engineer, Path Planning

  • Design, implement, and optimize motion planning and control systems for mobile manipulation robots
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate motion planning algorithms
  • Refine robotic path planning algorithms for customer needs
  • Test and iterate solutions to improve reliability and performance
  • Conduct performance tuning in simulation and on robot
  • Contribute to scalable software systems for multiple robot deployments

Requirements For Software Engineer, Path Planning

Python
  • 3-7 years of experience working in robotics environments
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering (Master's preferred)
  • Expert in Python with robotics software experience
  • Experience with motion/path planning and robot kinematics
  • Strong understanding of algorithms and mathematical optimization
  • Familiar with test-driven development (TDD)
  • Detail-oriented with systems-level mindset
  • Collaborative and communicative
  • Willing to work in-office at Cambridge, MA location at least three days per week
