Key technical areas include expertise in network design for low latency and high availability, understanding of datacenter operations, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google), and virtualization technologies. The role requires proficiency in network protocols, security standards, and timing services (PTP, Boundary Clocks, Grandmasters).
