Engineering Manager

Pigment, founded in 2019, has rapidly become one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies globally. We're seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team of over 400 employees across offices in New York, Toronto, London & Paris. As an Engineering Manager at Pigment, you'll split your time between software engineering and people management.

On the software engineering side, we're looking for individuals with strong skills in translating functional requirements into elegant, simple designs and delivering code. You should understand the product and customer needs in detail, suggesting innovative ideas to deliver value to end users.

For the people management aspect, you'll be responsible for:

• Coaching up to 6 direct reports (usually every 2 weeks)
• Defining expectations, collecting and delivering feedback
• Building career development plans using our skill leveling matrix
• Participating in performance-related decisions
• Optionally leading ad hoc projects to structure engineering

The ideal candidate will have:

• 7-8 years of experience as a software engineer working on a product in production
• 2-3 years of people management experience
• Proven experience designing object-oriented software with languages like C#, Java, C++, Golang, Rust, Python, or Ruby
• Great team spirit and a problem-solving attitude
• Humility and willingness to grow
• Fluent English (French is not required)
