Description For Data Engineer

Pipedrive is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team in Tartu, Estonia. This role involves designing and building data pipelines, models, and preparing data sources for visualization tools like Tableau. The ideal candidate will work with cutting-edge technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, and Airflow to process terabytes of data daily on AWS cloud.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, implementing, and visualizing reusable analytical models
  • Developing and deploying data solutions
  • Analyzing requirements from internal customers
  • Assisting with efficient use of the Data Warehouse
  • Improving ETL development processes and best practices
  • Leading system design and architecture initiatives
  • Performing code reviews and on-boarding new developers

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of engineering experience (preferably in Python)
  • Experience with production-grade data pipelines
  • Familiarity with distributed data processing systems and cloud computing technologies
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling
  • Knowledge of modern data stack tools and industry trends
  • Excellent communication skills and familiarity with agile methodologies
  • BSc or MSc in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities For Data Engineer

  • Design, implement, document, and visualize reusable analytical models
  • Develop and deploy developed data solutions
  • Monitor for possible errors and performance issues
  • Detect, analyze, and fix code and data defects
  • Discover needs and analyze requirements from internal customers
  • Assist internal customers in using the Data Warehouse (DWH) efficiently
  • Follow and help improve the ETL development processes and team's best practices
  • Lead system design and architecture initiatives across the team
  • Perform code reviews and provide quality feedback to peers
  • On-board new developers to the tribe
  • Be on-call when it's your turn, react to alerts, and resolve production incidents

Requirements For Data Engineer

  • At least 3 years of engineering experience (preferably in Python)
  • Hands-on experience with building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines
