As the Director of Systems Engineering at Pison, you will lead and build out the Systems Engineering organization, which includes systems engineering, quality assurance, and technical program management. Your responsibilities will include:
- Harmonizing and optimizing the use of our technology across our tech stack: AI, Machine Learning, mobile and cloud software, firmware, and embedded hardware
- Continuously improving quality, systems and technical program management best practices, and engineering processes
- Driving quality assurance for both software & hardware, advocating for high code coverage, automation, and overall production yield
- Ensuring our products and devices are designed to be secure in collaboration with our IS&T team
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision. You'll be expected to:
- Initially be heavily involved as an individual contributor and team leader
- Lead and manage teams as the company grows
- Ensure products are simple and work as intended
- Collaborate with Pison Engineering and Product groups to deliver quality experiences
- Support engineering service offerings for integrating our technology into 3rd party solutions
- Maintain a highly analytical, data-driven mindset
- Build out & staff necessary organizations within Systems Engineering
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 15 years of work experience with at least 10 in a leadership role
- Hands-on experience in systems engineering, and either software development or hardware development
- Strong understanding of industry-standard program management and quality assurance practices
- Experience in developing long-term vision and executing strategies at scale
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
This position offers a salary range of $180,000 - $225,000 a year and is located in Boston, MA, with an expectation to be onsite at least 3 times per week. Join Pison in revolutionizing the intersection of neuroscience and technology!
