Description For Technical Sales Engineer

Pix4D, a leading developer of photogrammetry software for drones and mobile-based reality capture, is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for their APAC team in Tokyo, Japan. This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen, focusing on GNSS/RTK Hardware solutions.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in an international environment. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you'll be instrumental in performing pre-sales technical consultations, supporting authorized Pix4D resellers, and growing hardware sales in collaboration with the Channel Sales Manager and Product Manager.

The ideal candidate brings at least three years of experience with GNSS/RTK hardware in the Geospatial or Construction industries, along with familiarity with Pix4D products. Strong communication skills in both English and Japanese are essential, as you'll be conducting product demonstrations, attending trade shows, and managing customer relationships.

Working from a conveniently located office in Shibuya, Tokyo, you'll enjoy flexible working hours and remote work options. Responsibilities For Technical Sales Engineer

  • Perform pre-sales technical consultations with customers for Pix4D products
  • Focus on Emlid RTK hardware, Pix4Dcatch and software solutions
  • Demonstrate Pix4D products via video calls, in-person, tradeshows, and webinars
  • Master and demonstrate Pix4D products including RTK hardware and software suite
  • Collaborate with sales team to qualify leads and close deals
  • Provide technical feedback to product and marketing teams
  • Regular travel for trade shows and customer demonstrations
  • Manage sales contacts and activities with email and Hubspot CRM

Requirements For Technical Sales Engineer

  • Three or more years of experience with GNSS/RTK hardware in Geospatial or Construction industries
  • Experience with Pix4Dmatic and other Pix4D products
  • Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of GIS, geomatics, and geospatial products
  • At least one-year experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience with Hubspot or similar CRM tools
  • Bachelor's degree in geospatial information systems or equivalent
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese
  • Independent and well-organized team worker
