Description For Chief Engineer

Placemakr is revolutionizing the hospitality and residential real estate industry by creating a unique platform that seamlessly blends hotel and apartment experiences. As the Chief Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in driving engineering excellence at your assigned property, managing both systems and people.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the technical infrastructure of modern living spaces while working for a venture-backed startup that's expanding across the US. You'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining all back-end systems, creating and executing maintenance strategies, and ensuring optimal asset performance.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in property engineering systems, demonstrating both technical expertise and leadership abilities. You'll need to balance hands-on technical work with team management, budget oversight, and strategic planning. The role requires someone who can think both tactically and strategically, making decisions that optimize both immediate operations and long-term asset value.

Working at Placemakr means joining a company with a strong culture built on three core values: ownership, continuous improvement, and treating people right. The company offers comprehensive benefits including equity participation, showing their commitment to long-term employee success. This role is perfect for someone who wants to be at the intersection of technology and property management, helping to shape the future of how people live and stay in urban environments.

The position demands physical presence and hands-on involvement, but offers the reward of seeing your impact directly in the property's performance and guest satisfaction. If you're excited about applying your engineering expertise to revolutionize traditional real estate operations while working with a dynamic, mission-driven team, this role presents an excellent opportunity for career growth and impact.
