Description For Experienced Developer Relations Engineer - Network Enablement and Access

Plaid, a leading fintech company, is seeking an Experienced Developer Relations Engineer to join their Network Enablement and Access (NEA) team. This role is crucial in expanding Plaid's network, which currently serves thousands of companies including Venmo, SoFi, and Fortune 500 businesses across the US, Canada, UK, and Europe.

The position focuses on strengthening Plaid's connections with credit unions, community banks, neobanks, and other financial institutions by creating comprehensive documentation, reference implementations, and developer tools. You'll be instrumental in helping external developers implement Plaid's FDX specification and positioning the company as a leader in Open Banking.

As a Developer Relations Engineer, you'll create and maintain documentation, develop tutorials, and build reference architectures that help financial institutions integrate with Plaid's APIs. You'll need strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of developer needs. Responsibilities For Experienced Developer Relations Engineer - Network Enablement and Access

  • Improve usability, content presentation, and organization of existing documentation
  • Create new tutorials and topic-specific guides for Plaid's FDX API spec and Open Finance APIs
  • Create reference implementations and architectures for implementing Plaid's FDX API spec
  • Maintain and improve Postman collection and other developer-facing tools
  • Provide input on crafting product experiences for Plaid FDX developers

Requirements For Experienced Developer Relations Engineer - Network Enablement and Access

  • 4-8 years of experience as Developer Relations Engineer, Developer Advocate, or related roles
  • Proficiency in at least one widely-used backend language
  • Ability to create reference architectures
  • Ability to write clear, professional quality developer documentation
  • Quick learning of new technologies and concepts
  • Strong developer empathy and communication skills
