Cloud Engineer (GCP)

We are expanding our Cloud Engineering team and are looking for a Cloud Engineer with solid experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially in its infrastructure and data services. While the title is not the most important aspect, we are seeking someone who can contribute their knowledge in cloud solutions, preferably with GCP, although we value experience in other public cloud providers.

In our organization, we don't differentiate much by role title, but by key competencies. In this case, the competencies we value most are those focused on DevOps and the management of cloud infrastructures and services, with an emphasis on GCP data services.

What you'll do:

• Design and implement infrastructures in Google Cloud Platform (GCP): network topologies, compute services, storage, and databases.
• Implement and configure IaaS and PaaS services in GCP, such as Google Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run.
• Manage GCP data services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc.
• Generate CI/CD workflows using tools compatible with GCP, such as Cloud Build and Google Kubernetes Engine.
• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize governance, security, and scalability of GCP solutions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary projects with an agile and continuous improvement approach.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience working daily with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience implementing IaaS and PaaS solutions in GCP.
• Practical knowledge of governance models and security policies in GCP.
• Experience in implementing cloud networks and topologies (VPCs, VPNs, Firewalls, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD in GCP, such as Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, or integrations with other CI/CD systems.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Fluent English level (written and spoken).

What we would value:

• Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• General knowledge of Kubernetes and cluster management with GKE.
• Experience working with versioning tools like GitHub or GitLab.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go for task automation.
• Experience with GCP data services and solutions, such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc.
• Software development knowledge to integrate well in a DevOps environment (Python, Go, etc.).
