Responsibilities For Senior Platform Engineer
- Lead key epics within the team
- Mentor and coach other platform engineers
- Design, build & migrate next-generation infrastructure based on Kubernetes to AWS Cloud
- Migrate microservices and data services to cloud infrastructure
- Build CI/CD infrastructure & tooling
- Manage & build tooling in Python, GoLang
- Evaluate & improve current infrastructure
- Support Engineering and Operations teams
- Advocate for Platform Engineering within the organization
Requirements For Senior Platform Engineer
- Strong experience with IaC automation (Pulumi, Terraform) in the Cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Puppet)
- Strong proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience in Linux operating system troubleshooting
- Comfortable coding in Python or Golang
- Knowledge of networking concepts: firewalls, NAT, subnetting, ports, VPC, VPNs
- Security-first mindset
- Experience with Git and source code management systems
- Familiar with CI/CD (GitLab)
- Good understanding of Platform engineering and DevSecOps practices
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
