Description For Software Developer in Test (SDET)

Plusgrade is seeking an experienced Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join their QA team in Montreal. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract opportunity where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality standards for their growing product suite of web, mobile, and service-based applications. As an SDET, you'll be a quality mentor and automation specialist working directly with Agile development teams.

The role involves combining automated test tools, well-designed testing techniques, and quality processes to help scale the feature set and customer base while maintaining product integrity. You'll work closely with developers and product managers, participating in all aspects of the Agile development process from planning to execution.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of test automation experience, strong programming skills in Java/Python/TypeScript, and a solid understanding of quality assurance principles. You'll be responsible for increasing API and UI test coverage, contributing to automation frameworks, and executing various types of testing including automated, manual, and exploratory regression tests.
