Description For Resident Engineer/Clerk of the Works

PMA Consultants, a leading national program management/construction management consulting firm, is seeking a Resident Engineer/Clerk of the Works for an exciting project in Greenfield, MA. This role is part of our On-Call OPM Contract with the State of Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management & Maintenance (DCAMM), specifically overseeing a roof replacement at the Franklin County Sheriff's facility.

The position offers an immediate start through July 2025, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a company consistently ranked top in Engineering News-Record (ENR). As a Resident Engineer, you'll be responsible for crucial on-site observations, daily progress reporting, and coordinating testing and inspection services.

Responsibilities For Resident Engineer/Clerk of the Works

  • On-site observations and daily reporting on progress
  • Monitor and coordinate testing and inspection services
  • Communicate with Owner/Architect/OPM team
  • Maintain records including correspondence, contract documents, change orders
  • Oversee roof replacement at Franklin County Sheriff's facility

Requirements For Resident Engineer/Clerk of the Works

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 5+ years experience as Resident Engineer/Clerk of Works or 15+ years field experience
  • Roof replacement experience highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of E-Builder or ability to learn
  • Construction trade experience or knowledge beneficial
  • Municipal/public works project experience helpful
  • Ability to pass a CORI check
  • Physical ability to stand/sit for long periods and lift up to 15 pounds
