Responsibilities For Project Cost Engineer

  • Create and maintain databases to improve efficiency of materials and financial reports
  • Create, modify, and generate ad hoc and periodic reports using SAP and MS Excel
  • Track, monitor, and report on monthly project/program progress
  • Troubleshoot database issues
  • Review estimate details and explain variances at detailed level
  • Identify risks and analyze impacts on project budget

Requirements For Project Cost Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline
  • 5+ years experience in cost control and data analysis for large-scale construction projects
  • Experience developing and managing project forecasts (EAC) and cash flow
  • Ability to perform cost per unit analysis and quantity tracking
  • Experience downloading actuals from SAP and updating Excel monthly
  • Strong communication skills and client/stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated competency with MS Excel, Power BI, and data management
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen
