Senior Software Engineer

Polaron, a promising spin-out from Imperial College London, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team of nine. The company specializes in the intersection of AI and materials science, building cutting-edge solutions for the materials of the future. They're developing a cloud-based SaaS product that enables materials engineers to leverage state-of-the-art image-based AI through an intuitive interface.

The role offers significant autonomy and influence over the platform's development and direction. You'll be working on challenging technical problems, from scaling high-resolution image handling in the frontend to managing GPU clusters and building public APIs. The position requires a strong background in software engineering, with experience in typed languages and full-stack development.

The company operates primarily from their East London office, with a hybrid work arrangement (4 days office, 1 day remote).
