Frontend Engineer

Policy Expert is on a mission to revolutionize Home, Pet, and Motor insurance, making it clear, fair, and great value for customers. As a Frontend Engineer in the Pet team, you'll be part of a cross-functional team responsible for the technology powering their new Pet insurance product. You'll collaborate with various disciplines to test hypotheses and make a difference to customers.

The role involves working with React for client-facing applications, NodeJS for serverless/middleware applications, and GraphQL/REST for client APIs. The company uses a microservices/micro frontends architecture and employs feature flags and canary releases for incremental delivery. Other technologies in their stack include Java, various AWS services (DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, S3, SNS/SQS, Fargate), Docker, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Frontend development, a product mindset, comfort with ambiguity, interest in distributed systems, and proficiency in React and TypeScript. They should practice Test-Driven Development, have excellent communication skills, and be collaborative.
