Senior Frontend Engineer - Pet

Policy Expert is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their Pet team, responsible for powering their new Pet insurance product. The role involves collaborating across disciplines to test hypotheses and make a difference to customers. You'll work in a cross-functional team alongside product owners, marketers, designers, software engineers, data analysts, business analysts, delivery managers, and quality engineers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and supporting a particular part of Policy Expert
• Collaborating with various team members to deliver the right solutions
• Working on client applications using React and TypeScript
• Practicing Test-Driven Development and writing high-quality automated tests
• Undertaking detailed research to solve complex challenges
• Contributing to systems architecture and scalable systems

The ideal candidate should have:

• Strong experience working on the Frontend of a technology product
• A product mindset with a focus on customer outcomes
• Comfort working in a team that deals with ambiguity
• Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software
• Experience with React and TypeScript
• Proficiency in Test-Driven Development and various forms of automated testing
• Excellent communication skills
• Natural curiosity and a diligent approach to problem-solving

The tech stack includes React, NodeJS, GraphQL/REST, microservices/micro frontends, feature flags, Java, various AWS services, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
