As an IT Security Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in safeguarding the company's information systems and ensuring the integrity of data, networks, and infrastructure. This position requires a blend of technical expertise in cybersecurity and strong operational IT skills. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing security policies, conducting vulnerability assessments, managing security systems, and ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards.

Responsibilities For IT Security Engineer

  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Monitor and analyze internet traffic for suspicious activity and potential threats
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans
  • Respond to security or IT incidents and conduct investigations
  • Manage security systems including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus software
  • Ensure compliance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001
  • Manage MDM solutions for employee devices
  • Provide security training and support to staff
  • Maintain G-Suite and other applications

Requirements For IT Security Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in IT and cybersecurity roles
  • Strong knowledge of security principles, protocols, and technologies
  • Experience with security tools like firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and antivirus software
  • Proficiency in network and system administration
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 and ISO 27001
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
