Responsibilities For IT Security Engineer

  • Design, implement, and manage security tools and measures to protect data, systems, and networks
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and respond to suspicious activity and potential threats
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans
  • Respond to security and IT incidents
  • Manage security systems including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus software
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (SOC 2 and ISO 27001)
  • Administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions
  • Serve as IT system issues point of contact
  • Provide security training and support to staff
  • Maintain and manage G-Suite and business applications

Requirements For IT Security Engineer

Linux
  • 3+ years of experience in IT and cybersecurity roles
  • Strong knowledge of security principles, protocols, and technologies
  • Experience with security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus)
  • Proficiency in network and system administration
  • Knowledge of SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in G-Suite management
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
