Responsibilities For Platform & Site Reliability Engineer
- Take a leading role in influencing technology choices and architectural decisions
- Promote DevOps practices within product development teams
- Offer guidance on designing for availability, reliability, scalability, and security
- Assist data engineering teams with selecting, deploying and managing software tools
- Enhance automation, tooling, and processes
- Develop and maintain monitoring systems
- Shape vision and roadmap for initiatives
- Provide production support and manage service incidents
Requirements For Platform & Site Reliability Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or Platform Engineering
- Understanding of site reliability engineering principles
- Strong command of Terraform and GitOps practices
- Thorough understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Istio, Helm, Kong API gateway
- Experience with Prometheus, Mimir, Grafana, Loki and Tempo
- Familiarity with Apache Airflow and Apache Spark
- Proficiency in Python and/or Go
- Experience in microservice architectures
- Systematic problem-solving approach and effective communication skills
- Ability to work in distributed teams
