Responsibilities For Platform & Site Reliability Engineer

  • Take a leading role in influencing technology choices and architectural decisions
  • Promote DevOps practices within product development teams
  • Offer guidance on designing for availability, reliability, scalability, and security
  • Assist data engineering teams with selecting, deploying and managing software tools
  • Enhance automation, tooling, and processes
  • Develop and maintain systems for monitoring
  • Shape the vision and roadmap for initiatives
  • Provide production support and manage service incidents

Requirements For Platform & Site Reliability Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or Platform Engineering
  • Understanding of site reliability engineering principles
  • Strong command of Terraform and GitOps practices
  • Thorough understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes, Istio, Helm, Kong API gateway
  • Experience with Prometheus, Mimir, Grafana, Loki and Tempo
  • Familiarity with Apache Airflow and Apache Spark
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Go
  • Experience in microservice architectures
  • Systematic problem-solving approach and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in distributed teams
